Cafe Hulsenbecke in Ennepetal

Based on recommendations we ordered this time in this restaurant. 2 × leg of goose, 2x Wienerschnitzel and 1x Jägerschnitzel. The leg of goose wasn't crispy due to the amount of sauce and the dumplings could have been ready-made dumplings. The schnitzel was ok but the croquettes were the last, so saturated with fat that they ended up in the garbage after 2 croquettes. But this was apparently too late as 3 out of 5 people spent half the night on the toilet. Conclusion . Never again

Two stars for the beautiful location and the friendly service. Unfortunately, our experience was not very positive. Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all. The schnitzel is tough and the pannade not at all crispy, the poulard pieces totally tough and very dry. Unfortunately almost inedible. Our waitress was friendly, unfortunately we weren't even asked if we liked / tasted it, nor were we offered another drink. The lady at the entrance, assuming it was the boss, unfortunately seems rather unfriendly due to her brisk manner. All in all we are very disappointed and unfortunately we will not come back. It's a shame about the beautiful house and the wonderful surroundings.

Great location for private celebrations. We celebrated our wedding here, everything was great! Lots of inclusive services and a very fair innkeeper. We recommend it to others!

Picturesque, the guest house Hülsenbecke in Ennepetal should offer us a nice evening on the occasion of our wedding day. However, it turned out quite differently: Four people got a quiet table in the conservatory. After we ordered our drinks, it went to the menu. Ordered: 1 x large salad plate with poulard breast stiffeners 1 x Jägerschnitzel with chips 1 x pork medallions with french fries and pepper cream sauce 1 x zander fillet with only one baked potato As a small starter there was cold white bread with a herb butter, which tasted no different except for fish. When it was served, there was the first problem: the fish was not ready. This came then 10 minutes later, but with three very small pieces that reminded rather of a children's plate. The pork medallions also had to go back because they accidentally served roast potatoes as a side dish. So also 10 minutes on it. The large salad plate contained in addition to a lot of mushy green only half a tomato. The operation mentioned promised to supply a few tomatoes. These did not come. Only the Jägerschnitzel was fine. Then the surprise when paying. Our escorts only paid for their food, the rest we took over. Only at home did we realize that we had been completely "ripped off". The prize for the zander fillet was € 17.50. These included lt. Menu but cream sauerkraut and fried potatoes. My wife received but (according to her order) only the zander fillet with a jacket potato. Without the rest. A 0.4 l amber beer listed on the bill was not ordered or drunk by us. When we approached the waitress on the lack of salad plate, the wrong served fried potatoes and the fishy herb butter the answer was: "I pass it on to the kitchen." When she came to the table again we asked, what the answer of the kitchen was. Then the answer: "Sorry." That's all. Conclusion: A completely unqualified service (stable, blonde lady), rude and above all: incorrect in the billing. Although the restaurant was visited only about halfway, the service seemed overwhelmed. Therefore stay away, good food and drink and you can pay correctly and elsewhere.

Cozy-good service-good kitchen

Great area, nice atmosphere. However, only 2 stars, since on our arrival the table was not clean and the food is not really the blast. French fries were extremely sucked with fat, tasted like fried again, also over-salted. The schnitzel has air to the top, which the fries had too much, the schnitzel was missing on spice. No nice crunchy breadcrumbs, but a bit choppy. Too bad for the great location, but you would get a better Schnitzel in a Pommesbude.

We went to 3 there today food. It followed 2 times the Jägerschnitzel with fries and 1 Wiener Schnitzel. 1. What kind of breading was that? Cheese egg shell? Anyway, I missed a neatly cooked mushroom cream sauce and fresh chopped herbs. The schnitzel was soaked in fat and has no crispy shell. Unfortunately not good for a trip restaurant. Add to that the table from the guests in front of us, not even the service was cleaned. You put the glasses without coasters just on the table, so then everything sticks again. Unfortunately, the lady has been overstrained. Too bad that we could not get a Pfefferrahmsauce a part, this is probably not possible in this house in this day and age. A pepper cream sauce is really not an act? !!! Shame .. We will not come back again. We hope the criticism is received positively.

Very good food

Great overload in service We were yesterday for four noon in the restaurant Hülsenbecke. We arrived shortly after 1pm and got a seat in the conservatory. Right on entering we were told that it could take a little longer. Finally we got our orders after one hour. The food was okay, but not an outstanding treat. Too bad. We were there a year ago; It was better then.

Ambience nice but obviously a lot of convenience and little knowledge of cooking. When the house is full, the kitchen quickly skids. Maybe knock on the cooking helpers. Because it would be a pity if the house had to close again

Nice little historic coffee, surrounded by a very beautiful park with free animal enclosure. Cake and waffles taste great here. Parking is sufficient and free.

Nice ambience, bad service. It felt like an eternity before we were allowed to order (at half capacity). The widely advertised waffles were not available, only apple or plum cake. Both delicious. Then again waited a long time for the bill.

I liked it very much today. In the sunshine we could sit outside, have a drink, were well served and because it was so cozy, we also ordered something to eat. It was delicious and we drove home happy.
